Yes folks! You heard it right! National Geographic, or Nat Geo, which they like to call themselves now, has a show about a new human species which existed in pre-history, and mingled with Homo Sapiens/Cro-Magnon. This new species is called "Neandrethal", which is eerily similar to the familiar "Neanderthal", just a subtle difference in spelling, and presumably in genetic makeup. What? No way! You're not serious. You mean they put out an advertisement in which the voiceover announcer mis-pronounced "Neanderthal" every time he said it??? NO ONE in the prodction process had the brains, or the balls, to say "Hey, wait a minute, he's not pronouncing that properly." Or more likely they just didn't care. Maybe they didn't want to hurt the guy's feelings, I don't know. I wonder if he can pronounce "nuclear", or "peripheral". Idiots Revenant |
